PRE-BID MEETING: September 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time Municipal Center in Ludlow, Kentucky
BID OPENING: October 14, 2021 (22 days after advertisement)
Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 AM EASTERN STANDARD TIME October 14, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and announced at 10:00 AM EASTERN STANDARD TIME.

A copy of the bid documents may be obtained for a refundable deposit of $100.00 per set, checks to be made payable to the City of Ludlow. Refunds will be returned only if a responsive bid is received and the plans and specifications are returned in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the bids are opened, otherwise no refund will be due. No drawings will be mailed until receipt of checks. Successful bidders may retain their plans and the deposit amount will be returned.
REQUIRED BID PROPOSAL GUARANTY: All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than 5% of the total bid.
DBE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: 7%
The City of Ludlow will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the furnishing of all labor, materials and the performance of all work required for the construction on Adela Avenue of curb-line milling, asphalt resurface from Sandbank Road to Elm Street (KY 8), replace sidewalk/curbing and new sidewalk as needed from Sleepy Hollow Drive (KY 1072) to Elm Street (KY 8).
Prime and DBE Contractors submitting a bid must be pre-qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet prior to the public reading of the bid on October 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time at Ludlow Municipal Center. Subcontractors must be prequalified prior to working on the project. Prime Contractor must be pre-qualified in Sidewalk. Please see federal requirements for Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) for additional information. A list of pre-qualified Contractors and information on the prequalification of Contractors is located at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Construction Procurement website as follows:

Specialty subcontractors upon approval from City of Ludlow shall be exempt from being pre-qualified by KYTC.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference at City of Ludlow Municipal Center, Kentucky on September 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. It is mandatory for prospective prime contractors to attend. Prospective prime contractors may contact Albert Zimmerman at Qk4 at 502-719-7891 prior to the Pre-Bid Conference. It is anticipated the meeting will last approximately 30 minutes.
